1. Winnipeg Blue Bombers
I like that Winnipeg has kept the majority of their core intact, look for them to try and keep rolling off of their back-to-back Grey Cups.
2. Hamilton Tiger-Cats
Hamilton has great coaching and is coming off of back-to-back Grey Cup appearances. Look for them to continue the winning ways in Regina under Orlando Steinauer.
3. Ottawa RedBlacks
Ottawa spent money this offseason. They have big names and a coach who can lead them to good times. It may take a while to gem, but watch out for the RedBlacks.
4. BC Lions
The Lions are led by Nathan Rourke and Grey Cup-winning head coach Rick Campbell. Rourke showed last year that he can play, and he has weapons, This team has the potential to claw teams up.
5. Toronto Argonauts
Toronto was able to get a couple of vets in Andrew Harris and Brandon Banks, but they are aging, and it felt like they fell into first in the East. They need to prove that it wasn't a fluke to me.
6. Saskatchewan Roughriders
The Riders need to prove that last year wasn't a fluke. They did not play well in the playoffs and haven't changed much.
7. Calgary Stampeders
Strong results against weak teams in the preseason mean nothing. Bo wasn't healthy and his preseason did not ease doubts about Bo being back.
8. Montreal Alouettes
This team lost a lot of guys in free agency, and cut Quan Bray in training camp. Khari Jones does not have a contract for next year, and quarterback play against Ottawa in the preseason was not good.
9. Edmonton Elks
Last year's basement dweller was there because of culture, and that is not a fast turnaround. It appears to be happening but some of their signings are questionable (like giving receivers $300k).
